Mission OS
Research Operating System
Research Question
Can a software orchestration layer coordinate multiple independent validation campaigns without duplicating simulation logic?
Digital Model
System Self-Test
v1.0.0
c07_selftest
Campaign orchestration status, subsystem operational flags
All subsystems functional in simulation environment; no physical integration tested
Software orchestration only; does not model physics, aerodynamics, or hardware behavior
Inputs / Parameters
| Parameter | Value | Unit | Provenance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Campaign count | configured | — | DESIGNED |
| Fast mode | configured | — | DESIGNED |
MEASURED = 0 parameters across all 9 technologies. Physical calibration deferred.

What This Result Does Not Prove
This self-test does NOT prove: physical system integration, real-world orchestration reliability, production readiness, or performance under operational load. SIMULATION RESULT ≠ PHYSICAL VALIDATION.
Next Research Step
Create mission_os/adapters/ with registry YAML. Run B-M03/B-M04 integration tests. Execute B-M05 full chain nominal run.
Mission OS is software — physical validation applies to integration hooks, not aerodynamics. Deferred.
Role
Mission OS is the software orchestration layer that coordinates validation campaigns across all technologies. It schedules simulations, aggregates evidence, and produces GO/NO-GO advisory reports. It consumes the Research Knowledge Base and never creates evidence directly.
Digital Results
C07 self-test executed. All subsystems operational in simulation. Simulation-only.
Physical Results
Mission OS is software — no physical flight requirement. Physical tests validate integration hooks, not aerodynamics.
Proven
C07 self-test verified all subsystems in simulation. All subsystems operational in simulation. Simulation-only flag enforced.
Not Yet Validated
Adapters not implemented (NO-GO). No end-to-end orchestrated run. No CI hook. Orchestration maturity approximately 25%.
